Dr. Kari White presented a talk “Crisis Pregnancy Centers and Texas’ Alternatives to Abortion Program” at the National Council of Jewish Women’s 4th Annual Repro Shabbat on February 10th at at Temple Beth-El in San Antonio.
In the talk, Dr. White discussed what crisis pregnancy centers do and recent research from Resound Research and colleagues reveals about pregnant people’s experiences interacting with these centers. Dr. White also discussed how the state of Texas financially supports these centers and program changes the state has made over time, based on our review of publicly available materials.
