Timely Access to Contraception at Medicaid Providers Following the Exclusion of Planned Parenthood from Texas’ Medicaid Program

In March 2021, Texas implemented a policy excluding Planned Parenthood from the state’s Medicaid program, following over five years of legal proceedings. The decision means Medicaid beneficiaries in Texas can no longer use their coverage for services or prescriptions at Planned Parenthood health centers.
