At Resound Research, our team is comprised of experts committed to advancing reproductive health policies and practices. With a blend of academic, legal, and clinical backgrounds, our team works to produce high-impact research.

Executive and Scientific Director

Kari White, PhD, MPH

Dr. White’s research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess how policies affect people’s reproductive healthcare outcomes and experiences seeking and obtaining care.
Research Scientist

Anna Chatillon, PhD

Dr. Chatillon’s work focuses on reproductive health policy, advocacy, and provision; community mobilization and expertise; and intersecting structures of marginalization.

Anitra Beasley, MD, MPH

Dr. Beasley is Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning.  Her research interests include access to contraception and family planning services, bias in medical care, and reduction of health disparities.

Elizabeth Tang

Elizabeth is the Research Assistant at Resound Research. She is an advocate for sexual health education and health equity. In her current role, Elizabeth provides support for the entire portfolio of research studies.

Gracia Sierra, PhD

Dr. Sierra’s research interests include using advanced statistical and causal inference methods to study the impact of different policies on reproductive health.

Iris Reyes, MPH, CHW-I 

Iris’ work focuses on evidence-based, community-centered research. Her interests include reproductive health and justice, women’s rights advocacy, community mobilization, and sexual health education.

Jeanette Cunningham Rottas, MA

Jeanette manages Resound Research’s portfolio of research projects. She brings 15 years’ experience expertise in impact analysis, program management, and evaluation research to the team in pursuit of health equity.

Laura Dixon, PhD

Dr. Dixon aims to generate and disseminate high-impact research in the service of ensuring reproductive health policy and programs support the health and wellness of all populations.

Lauren Thaxton, MD, MBA, MSBS

Dr. Thaxton is an Assistant Professor and practicing OB/GYN in the Department of Women’s Health at Dell Medical School. She has been working with Resound Research investigating novel tools for addressing issues/dissatisfaction with postpartum contraception.

Lisa Della Badia, MS, CCRC

Lisa is a sexual and reproductive health clinical researcher whose work is focused on organizational compliance and operations, partnership building, and strategy. Her work aims to position and strengthen the impact of Resound Research.

Ophra Leyser-Whalen, PhD

Dr. Leyser-Whalen is an Associate Professor of Sociology specializing in reproductive health and justice at The University of Texas at El Paso. She works with Resound Research on projects related to abortion funds and reproductive health on the U.S.-Mexico border.​

Samuel Dickman, MD

Dr. Samuel Dickman is the Chief Medical Officer at Planned Parenthood of Montana and a researcher at the City University of New York Research Foundation. He conducts research on reproductive health policy, survivors of sexual violence, and opioid addiction.
